I remember when I first got an email from Carlos. It was the odd time when I checked my spam folder. The email stood out to me as it had the word tefl in it and teaching English abroad was a flickering distant fantasy for a long time. It was also at a point in my life when I was dissatisfied with my office job in the proverbial ivory tower. I responded to the email and promptly got a response with some offers of positions to teach English abroad. To make a long story short, here I am in Thailand about 1 year after that exchange. All I can say is I’m glad I responded to Carlos’ email. He literally changed my life.. for the better. Held my hand all the way through the process. Carlos – if you’re reading this – thank you!
