JOB DESCRIPTION
Not only will you get to have fun with your students, you will also get to know them and watch them learn and grow. Your students will vary in language ability and personality. There is no feeling quite like helping a shy student become a confident English speaker. Or a confident young adult converse fluently in English.
Teaching English to kids in China aged 3-18 in groups up to 16 students
Your students are an enthusiastic fun loving bunch, full of energy and ready to learn. As a teacher, you need to come to class prepared and ready to have fun. It’s your responsibility
Planning and delivering engaging classes, full of games and learning activities
Using electronic media and developed courseware to teach English efficiently and effectively
Evaluating student progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement to both students and their parents
Assigning and evaluating out of class exercises
Participating in social activities with students organized by your school to encourage oral English proficiency
15 – 18hrs teaching; 25 – 22hrs office hours; 5-days a week. 40hr work week; 2 consecutive days off and with classes typically taught in afternoons, evenings and weekends
Typical class length is 40 to 60 minutes
SALARY
& BENEFITS
13,000 to 15,000 RMB is the nationwide salary. Higher salary paid for the following locations: EF Hangzhou (17,500 – 22,000 RMB) and Xi’an (12,000 – 16,500 RMB.

Bachelor’s degree
A TEFL certificate. Minimum 120 hours.
The ability to obtain a clear background check
The ability to live abroad for at least one year
Applicants must be citizens from the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, to meet China’s visa regulations
Age: 21-55 years old
