EPIK was established in 1995 and is affiliated with the Korean Ministry of Education. Since its inception, EPIK has had the goals of improving the English-speaking abilities of Korean students and teachers, developing cultural exchange between Korea and abroad, and of introducing new teaching methods into the Korean education system.
To help accomplish these goals, EPIK invites responsible, enthusiastic native English speakers with a motivation to share their knowledge and language with Korean students and teachers within the Korean public school system throughout the country.
We hope that EPIK will help foster and encourage open-minded Korean individuals who will be able to take advantage of all the things this new age of information and globalization has to offer while promoting cultural exchange and building strong ties between Korea and other countries.
Positions start in February and August each year in the following cities: Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan, Sejeong & within the provinces of Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gyeongsangnamdo, Gyungbuk, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam and Jeju.

JOB
DESCRIPTION
To assist Korean teachers with their English classes, and/or jointly conduct English classes with Korean teachers, and/or extracurricular activities or English camps.
To conduct English conversation classes for Korean students and teachers.
To prepare teaching materials for English language education.
To assist in developing teaching materials for English language education.
To assist with activities related to English language education and other extracurricular activities.
To demonstrate a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
To perform other duties as specified by your MOE (Metropolitan Office of Education) or POE (Provincial Office of Education).
SALARY

Salaries range from 2,000,000 – 2,700,000 Korean Won. Remote locations pay more.
12 month contract
Korean co-teacher to assist with your classes
Orientation training program before your position commences that will include Korean language lessons
Rent-free single furnished apartment near your school
300,000 Korean Won one-time settlement allowance
Severance pay which is equal to 1 month’s salary on completion of contract
Entrance Allowance of of 1,300,000 Korean Won and a Contract Completion Bonus/Exit Allowance of 1,300,000 Korean Won
A renewal bonus of 700,00 KRW to 2,000,000 KRW will be provided upon completion of each renewed contract.
18-21 working days paid vacation + national holidays (5 weeks in total)
