Italy is famous for its cuisine, fashion, architecture, monuments and art. The cities are magnificent, from the majesty of the capital Rome – seat of the Vatican and site of ancient Roman ruins dating back 2000 years to the magnificent artworks of the Tuscan city of Florence, to the romance of the ‘floating city’ of Venice with its iconic gondolas. All Italian cities and old towns are filled to the brim with classical architecture, history, churches, cathedrals and basilicas that will take your breath away. In the south, Naples is the site of the eerie ruins of Pompeii.

But there’s more to Italy than history. The Amalfi Coast in southern Italy is the summer playground of the rich and famous and the beautiful Cinque Terre and Tuscany regions draw thousands of visitors every year.

Italy is for Aesthetics and Romantics and TEFL teachers who love history, pasta, pizza and gelato.
