Job Description
Two positive, outgoing, FT English teachers required to start October 2022. We teach all ages from four year olds through to adults, with the majority of classes being primary and teenage children. Experience with young learners and teenagers is a must.
Located in a charming, seaside resort town on the Costa de la Luz, Number 10 Language Centre was established in 2005 and has enjoyed steady growth since its outset. Its current reputation is very positive within the local community and feeds on quality teaching and an excellent service record. The school itself was purpose built and decorated to offer a comfortable and stimulating learning environment for children and adults alike. Broadly speaking, we like to offer a kinesthetic approach to classes, with plenty of movement and an ever-present element of play. We are an official Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre with an excellent pass rate, so experience in Cambridge exam preparation is highly desirable.
In order to complete our teaching team for the forthcoming academic year, we are seeking to recruit two full-time teachers (part time option also available for one teacher) from October 2022 until mid June 2023. Most teaching takes place between 16.00h and 21.30h Monday to Thursday, although teachers MAY be required to teach a few morning classes and a minimal timetable on Friday afternoons (5-7pm).
Each teacher is assigned their own, fully-equipped classroom and are free to decorate it as they see fit. There is also a functional staff room with tea/coffee provided and a massive resource base of books, games and in-house, didactic material. Teachers will have free and complete access to the school and its facilities both during and outside of working timetables.
The local children are generally very well-behaved and there is little need for discipline. Any ongoing issues are dealt with by the management so full communication is encouraged throughout the course. Still, good classroom management skills are a must.
Sanlucar is a traditional, Andalusian city which has managed to conserve its raw, cultural heritage. All those who visit become enamoured by its gastronomy, its hidden ‘treasures’ and timeless, quintessentially Spanish charm. - Salary: 1040 euros pcm (Hourly rate above 20 hours will be paid at 15 euros net/contact hour)
