Milestone Institute started over 15 years ago in the Gangnam district. Due to an ever-growing list of students, they have opened up branches in different locations across South Korea. Their core curriculum is based on Reading and Writing using American textbooks, novels, and other non-fictional content. Their small class sizes allow the teachers to build strong relationships with their students allowing them to help students excel in their studies.

Starts at 2,300,000 KRW per month, but can increase based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance.

  • AGE GROUPS: 4 to 12

  • CLASS SIZE:no more than 6 students.

  • LOCATIONS: Seoul, Daechi, Seocho, Bundang, Mokdong, Kwangyo, and Busan, but most of the opportunities are available in Bundang.

  • START DATES: February (training in mid-January) and in August (training in mid-July)

  • CONTRACT LENGHT:12 month-contracts only.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Native English speaker from the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand and in possession of a valid passport (that has at least 12 months’ validity remaining).

  • Hold a fully completed Bachelor’s degree (or higher)

  • Hold a 120 hour TEFL Certificate

  • Hold a clean national criminal background check.

SCHEDULES

Monday to Friday between 1:30pm to 9:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and between 1pm to 7pm on Wednesdays. On average, you’ll be teaching 25 hours per week, the rest will be office hours.
