TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

The following Terms and Conditions of Use agreement (hereafter “Terms”) governs your use of our website (hereafter “website”). It is vitally important that you read the Terms carefully, as your use of the website will automatically constitute your agreement to be legally bound by the terms and conditions set out herein. These Terms also govern your use or purchase of the products/services provided through or in connection with the website (hereafter “services”). Each time you use our services, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms, you may not use the website(s) or the services provided by Company through its website(s).

This website is owned by TEFL Graduate, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 9993281), whose registered office is at Kemp House, 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

All intellectual property rights, including copyright in all content and communication belongs to TEFL Graduate Ltd. By reading the Terms of Use you are agreeing that the content and property of TEFL Graduate Ltd cannot be copied, reproduced, modified, stored, redistributed or exploited commercially in any way without permission from TEFL Graduate Ltd.

TEFL Graduate may change the content, which includes prices, offers and content at any time. We do not provide a warranty or guarantee of its accuracy, completeness, suitability, timeliness or performance of information or content in the website. If there are errors in the information provided in the content of the website we expressly exclude liability for these inaccuracies to the fullest extent that the law permits.

TEFL COURSES

Requirements

By commencing a TEFL Graduate TEFL course you confirm that you meet the following minimum requirements:

  • You must be 18 years of age at the time of completing a course.
  • You must have a competent level of English speaking and the ability to read and understand English language materials.
  • You must have an internet connection to access the course.

Non-native speakers

All non-native speakers must have a sufficient level of English language in order to enrol on a TEFL Graduate course. Non-native English speakers who want to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL) must have a minimum English language level equivalent to C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If, at any point during the course, a tutor feels that your English language ability is insufficient, your case will be forwarded to our Director of Studies. If both the tutor and Director of Studies believe your English language skills are insufficient to competently teach English, we reserve the right to fail you. If you are unsure whether your English is at the required level, you should contact our office to discuss requirements with a member of staff before purchasing a course.

Tutors

For our 120 or 150 hour course you will be assigned a tutor. You must have the ability to take advice from your tutors and be prepared to make improvements to their result if required

Timescales for completing a course

You have 180 days to complete a TEFL course, starting from the point at which you enrol on the course. If you need more time to complete the course, you may extend your study time by either one, three or six months. You can purchase an extension any time before the course is due to expire and up to 90 days after the expiry date. There is no limit as to how many times you can extend the course. Should you not extend your course within the 90 days, your account will be closed.

The following prices apply:

  • 30 day extension                  £15/$17
  • 90 day extension                  £20/$23
  • 180 day extension                £30/$35

Passing or Failing a course

You must complete all tests and achieve a pass mark of 70% or higher to successfully pass the course. You will have three attempts for each quiz and 2 attempts for each assignment. Should you fail to meet the required marks, TEFL Graduate reserves the right to fail you.  No refunds are possible in situations where a trainee has failed the course. TEFL graduate also reserves the right to not accept failed trainees on subsequent courses.

Transferring a course

You may transfer your course to another person, as long as you have not completed Module 1, and within 30 days of registration.

Plagiarism

If you are reasonably suspected of plagiarism, you will be issued with a formal warning. If the plagiarism continues you will be referred to our Director of Studies who may dismiss you from the course. In these circumstances you will not be entitled to a refund for your course.

Online Certificate

Once you have submitted your final exam and all assignments have been graded by your Tutor, your online certificate will be available to download immediately, as long as you have achieved the pass mark of 70% or higher.

PLEASE NOTE: Should you lose your online certificate and your TEFL course has expired, there is a $5 charge. You will need to login to your course and choose the 3 day course extension option.

Hard Copy Certificate

Hard copy certificates prices are as follows:

North America £28/$37 – (10 to 21 days delivery time)

UK £23/$27 – ( 3 days delivery time)

Ireland £28/$37 – (5 days delivery time)

Rest of Europe and Australasia £28/$37 – ( 10 to 21 days delivery time)

Rest of the World £28/$37 – ( 28 to 56 days delivery time)

Urgent certificates can be sent with a DHL courier and cost £60/$75. Delivery time is around 5 days. Please note: Delivery to a remote address may incur an extra £20/$25 charge.

To order a hard copy certificate, please login to your course and place an order in the “Hard Copy” section. Certificates are mailed every Friday. If your course has expired, please email info@teflgraduate.com.

Lost Certificate

If you have misplaced your hard copy TEFL certificate, you can order a new certificate through your account or at https://teflgraduate.com/shop. The cost of a replacement certificate is the same price as initially paid for a hard copy certificate. If your course has expired, please email info@teflgraduate.com.

Your right to cancel your course?

TEFL Graduate website: If for any reason you are not satisfied with the TEFL Graduate course you have purchased, you are entitled to a full refund within 10 days of purchase. To cancel and request a refund, please contact info@teflgraduate.com. You agree that you will lose the right to cancel your course and obtain a refund of the full fee, or part thereof, paid, if you do not make the request within 10 days of purchase. If you are entitled to a refund, this will be paid to you within 30 days from the date of cancellation. Any access to course materials will be suspended immediately on notification of cancellation..

Third Party website: If you purchased your course through a third party website, such as Groupon, please contact the provider directly to request your refund.

Groupon:

Groupon operates a “no questions asked” refund policy for all vouchers within 14 days of purchase. We have to adhere to this policy due to Distance Selling regulations.

Groupon Promise: We will issue refunds to customers who report having a subpar experience while trying to redeem their voucher.

Case by Case: We will issue refunds to customers who have trouble redeeming their voucher and we’re not able to help them do so (e.g., the business closes, the customer can’t get ahold of the business).

If, however, a customer’s voucher has been refunded within your cancellation policy, then please let me know and provide me with the customer’s voucher details so that I can look into processing payment for you.

Payment

Payment can be made by any of the options advertised on our website. Payment shall be due before commencement of service, unless we have agreed otherwise. If payment fails your order will be cancelled.

Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. Your browser will confirm that you are shopping in a secure environment by showing either a locked padlock icon or an image of a padlock next to the payment details in the relevant area of the Website.

To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the services, please email info@teflgraduate.com. Any such complaint should be submitted within seven days of the problem first arising. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within a maximum of five working days and will aim to resolve the complaint within fourteen days.

GRAMMAR COURSE

Requirements

For all non-TEFL courses all you need is an internet connection.

Timescales for completing a course

You will have 6 months to complete your online Grammar course. Your course starts from the point of enrolment. If you need more time to complete the course, you may extend your course for a further 6 months for £12/$16.

Online Certificate

Once you have completed your course, you will be able to download your completion certificate. Hard copy certificates are not available.

Your right to cancel your course?

TEFL Graduate website: If for any reason you are not satisfied with the course you have purchased, you are entitled to a full refund within 10 days of purchase. To request a refund please contact info@teflgraduate.com. You agree that you will lose your above right to cancel the course and get a refund of any course fee you have paid if you 10 days have passed. If you are entitled to a refund, this will be paid to you within 30 days from the date of cancellation. Any access to course materials will be suspended immediately.

THIRD PARTY: If you purchased your course through a third party website, such as Groupon, please contact their customer services department for a refund. As long as you meet the terms of their refund policy, a refund will be processed.

OTHER INFORMATION

Accuracy of marketing materials

Every reasonable attempt has been made to describe TEFL Graduate courses and any other services mentioned. We believe that all the statements on our website and other marketing materials are correct at the time they are made.

We cannot be held responsible for any changes that become known or happen after printed materials are produced. Nor can we accept liability for happenings outside our control. We will undertake to inform you of any material changes to your course before commencement of the course providing there is sufficient time and we are able to contact you.

Personal Data

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act, TEFL Graduate is a data controller. We will store the personal data that you give us, and will use it for the purpose of processing your application and the provision of the services in this agreement. This includes disclosing your personal data, such as your name and contact details, to our tutors. Any calls or emails that you send to TEFL Graduate may also be recorded and stored both for training purposes, and for future reference should any issue arise.

We may also contact you from time to time with information about other TEFL Graduate products and services that may be of interest to you. If you would like to opt out of this service at any time, please email info@teflgraduate.com.

All data is kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. You have a right to ask for a copy of your information and correct any inaccuracies in your data. If you believe that any of your personal details that we process are inaccurate or incorrect, please contact us immediately to info@teflgraduate.com.

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge and agree that we may transfer, store and process your personal data and sensitive personal data as set out above.

Please note, our Data Protection Policy may change periodically to reflect developments in the law. You can request a copy of our current policy at any time to understand how we gather, use and store data.

Interpretation in a Dispute

If any wording in this agreement for any reason is held by a Court to be unfair, illegal or unreasonable, it will not bind you. The Court can remove that wording from the agreement, and the rest of the agreement will still continue to bind us and you.

This agreement and any claim or dispute arising from or related to this agreement, will be governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, English law and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of it.
