The curriculum and program originated in South Korea in 2007. In 2012, it launched its revised April 2.0 program. It targets primary and secondary school learners to develop communicative competence based on intrinsic motivation and immersion. Leveraging education-based technology tools such as automated speech recognition, smart boards and e-learning systems, students can improve their expressive skills and logical thinking abilities via experiential learning.


  • Native English speaker
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field
  • ESL teaching certificate (TEFL/TESOL) OR a teaching certificate OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching/training
  • Background check less than 6 months old from your home country or last country of residence
  • Able to pass a health check during training required by the Vietnamese government


Typical tasks that may be carried out include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and delivering fully organized lessons that are provided (no lesson planning is required)

  • Classroom management
  • Marking and providing appropriate feedback to quizzes, writing assignments, etc.
  • Attending and contributing to training sessions and workshops
  • Participating in a limited amount of paid marketing events (e.g. lesson demos) for the language centre
  • Basic administration: taking attendance, inputting grades, giving monthly feedback on student progress, etc.
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Sunday 5:30pm – 8:45pm, with additional Saturday/Sunday morning (8:00am-11:15am) OR afternoon (2:00pm-5:15pm) shifts. (Note: HCMC times are pushed back by 15 minutes)


  • Entry level salary range of 32,000,000 VND to 41,000,000 VND for 18 teaching hours / week (approximately 78 teaching hours per month)
  • Two days off per week (Monday and one more day)
  • Over-time hourly rate of 525,000 VND if maximum teaching hours is surpassed
  • Accommodation: provided. 6,450,000 VND monthly stipend for Hanoi / HCMC
  • Bonuses: 10,750,000 VND upon twelve-month completion, 10,000,000 VND – 55,000,000 VND pioneering at 4, 8 and 12 month dependent on city
  • Paid time off: 20 prearranged holidays + 6 flexible days off
