Western International School (WIS) is a private school located in the heart of Phnom Penh. We offer an American English curriculum to Cambodian and international students from grades Pre-K to 12. Our qualified staff members and teachers are from the United States, Canada, and other English speaking countries. Western International School is a fast growing international school that has been in operations in Cambodia since 2003. We have seventeen campuses in Phnom Penh and in the province of Sihanouk Ville.

DESCRIPTION

Locations: Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville

25 teaching hours/8 hours per day/Monday to Friday

7:30 – 11:30 and 1:30 – 5:30 (flexible)

50 minute classes

Class size: 20 to 25 maximum

Orientation in August before start of schoolyear. Short trainings given during monthly meetings with department

SALARY

& BENEFITS

  • 1,000 to 1,3000 USD (negotiable depending on qualifications)

  • 1 year contract

  • One time Accommodation allowance of $300 provided (processed after arrival)

  • Teachers have annual leave of 18 days per year but it is earned monthly – 1.5 days per month. National holidays of 21 days – all are paid

  • 4 paid sick leave days

  • Teacher pays and processes visas and 50% of the visa will be reimbursed upon successful completion of probation

  • Degree in Education or English studies

  • Native English Speaker from US, Canada, Australia, UK, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa

  • Aged 23 – 50

  • 120 hour TEFL certificate

  • 6 months’ teaching experience

  • Age  – up to 55
